The Constitution of The Principality
of Venus




Article I
Section I
The Principality of Venus is a Sovereign and Independent Nation as of April 12, 2013

Section II
The principle of the Government is a Constitutional Monarchy. Its official first language is English

Section III
The Principality of Venus is committed to the rule of law and respect for fundamental Human Rights and Freedoms

Article II
Section I
The High Prince or High Princess is to be the chief ruler and judge of the land until they have delegated the powers away from themselves. They do not need to be a citizen of The Principality of Venus to be High Ruler.

Section II
Upon resignation or death of the High Prince or High Princess, their previously declared heir shall be High Ruler. Unlawful means may not be used to take control of the Throne

Section III
The High Prince may not impose unequal taxes on his subjects. Taxes may be used to cover the limited debts of the Government
Section IV
The High Ruler may give deserving citizens titles. He may also appoint people to Minister over certain parts of the Government

Section V
The High Ruler may be removed from power through a two-thirds vote at a town hall meeting. The reason for removal must be Constitutional

Article III
Section I
Liberty is to maximized. Laws are only to protect ones liberty and to not take away from it

Section II
Any acts invading the liberty of another are hereby illegal. The Prince may sentence guilty subjects to Prison for a time relative to their crime. No cruel or unusual punishment may be administered. If one individual breaks contract with another, they may file for action through a member of Royalty.

Section III
All citizens are equal under the eyes of the law. Any law that is unfair is invalid and any unfair treatment as well

Section IV
The High Ruler may write laws that are deemed fit by the simple majority at a town hall meeting. They shall be law when written and signed by the High Ruler

Section V
A citizen is of age of consent at age 18, at this age they may petition against acts of the Government, hold High callings, or call for town hall meetings
Article IV
Section I
The High Prince may call Town hall meetings. The purpose of these are to gather public opinions and hold elections.

Section II
Upon a simple majority approval from a town hall meeting, the High Prince may declare war on another Country. The High Ruler may sign or write Treaties.

Section III
One may request to become a citizen through asking the High Ruler. Other Royalty may speak on behalf of such persons.

Article V
Section I
To Amend this Constitution the action must be approved at a town hall meeting by a two-thirds majority

Formation

Hello!
I, Harrison Proulx, previously claimed Venus in it's entirety as my own private property.
And now I am forming The Principality of Venus with myself as Prince of Venus.
