Venus has been in the news a lot recently. Signs of existing life on the planet have been a great source of surprise and joy. Which might make my next announcement surprising.
I, Harrison Proulx, High Prince of Venus, do hereby renounce my titles, any Governing authority, and any land ownership pertaining to the Planet Venus.
Venus is named after the Roman Goddess of Love and beauty. The planet is also commonly associated with female strength and power. It is for these reasons that I do hereby gift the planet of Venus to the women of Earth.
